Michael League Plays Music - Year 4 of the GroundUp Music Festival is in the books! There were so many inspiring moments for me that I can barely remember all of them. Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who joined us this year and an extra special thanks to the hardest-working crew I could ever dream of. Thanks to all of the artists who blessed us

with both their sounds and their words. Big ups to this year's MVP and artist-in-residence, saxophone alien Chris Potter. Holy moly (moley?). And while I kind of just want to sit down and digest all of the wonderful sounds I heard this weekend, I can't help but think about next year. It's going to be a beautiful one... we've already announced a few artists (Kurt Rosenwinkel's Caipi, Edmar Castaneda & Grégoire Maret, a one-time-only performance with Bassekou Kouyate, Fatoumata Diawara, and Weedie Braimah, and artist-in-residence Isaiah Sharkey on guitar) and there are many more great ones to come. Round 5 in 357 days...
